How to set up an eSIM

After the usage start date, you can use the eSIM by activating it and setting the APN.

The procedures differ between iOS and Android, so please refer to the steps below.

*This procedure should be performed while connected to Wi-Fi.

iOS

  • STEP1

    Activating the eSIM

    For the device that support eSIM Carrier Activation, an eSIM activation push notification will be sent to your device in the usage start date.

    You can activate the eSIM by tapping the notification.

    *If you could not tap the notification, go to the "Settings" app and tap "Cellular" > "Finish Setting Up Cellular".

    If your device does not support eSIM Carrier Activation, you will need to scan a QR code.

    Go to the "Settings" app and tap "Cellular" > "Set Up Cellular" or "Add eSIM" > "Use QR Code" to scan the QR code below.

    Activating the eSIM

    Go to the esim settings screen on your device to scan the QR code below.

    *If you cannot read the QR code, please enter the address below manually.

    Please register the following information on the access point name (APN) settings screen on your device.

    APN：linksmate.jp
    Username：user
    Password：mate
    Authentication type：CHAP

    *You may also choose "PAP or CHAP".
